FIRE AT ABBYLAND SUSPICIOUS

The Colby-Abby Police Department and the State Department of Justice are investigating a fire that broke out at Abbyland Foods in Abbotsford Wednesday morning.Police Chief Ron Gosse says the fire is suspicious in nature.
While there was no structural damage to the building, it could have been much worse. The fire broke out at around 10 a.m. in a room filled with cardboard boxes and pallets.
75 and 100 employees were evacuated to other parts of the plant.
Gosse says an arson investigator from the DOJ was on the scene yesterday, and continues his investigation today. Interviews of various "people of interest" have been conducted.
