Neillsville School Board Approves Electrical Bid, Meal Prices, Transportation Prices, and More

The Neillsville School Board approved an electrical bid at their meeting on Monday.
The Board approved the Graybar bid for electrical work in the amount of $170,353.33 as presented. The Board also approved the food service meal prices for the 2023-2024 school year as presented, approved the proposed annual meeting agenda for the August 28th meeting, and approved the 2022-2023 Seclusion and Restraint Report.
The Board also approved the annual safety drill report, approved the Athletic Handbook for Coaches and Parents as presented, and approved transportation charges for 2023-2024 as presented. The Board also approved the proposed yearbook prices for 2023-2024 and approved the donation of an automated external defibrillator (AED) from Marshfield Clinic.
In employment matters, the Board approved, as presented, the resignation of Rita Sternitzky from her food service assistant position, Nate McDonald from his teaching assistant position, and Jessica Brown from her middle school teaching position with no contract break fee.
The Board approved, as presented, the hiring of Susan Oldham for a teaching assistant position and Kali Lien for the 6th grade ELA teaching position. The Board also approved, as presented, the contract adjustments for Kelsey Klein and the proposed contract adjustments for Kendra Friemoth.
Finally, the Board heard District Administrator John Gaier’s report including on:
- A school tour by ‘80’s decade reunion attendees;
- The CESA 10 Annual Convention;
- The July 2023 Neillsville Improvement Corporation agenda;
- And the general aid and per student estimates from the state budget process.
