Clark County Retailers Pass Tobacco Compliance Checks
Thursday, June 29th, 2023 -- 2:01 PM
Results from Clark County's June tobacco compliance checks are in.
This is a part of the statewide WI Wins campaign. The campaign uses a science-based strategy to decrease youth access to tobacco products and help retailers avoid fines. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services contracts with local partners to conduct investigations, retailer education and training, media outreach, and community education.
WI Wins uses positive reinforcement to create healthier communities by congratulating clerks who don’t sell tobacco to youth and educating those who do. The following retailers are doing their part to keep Clark County youth tobacco-free by refusing to sell tobacco products to minors.
The stores include:
- Abbotsford Travel Stop,
- Dollar General in Abbotsford,
- Express Lane in Abbotsford,
- Abbyland Travel Center in Curtiss,
- Granton Convenience Store,
- Family Dollar in Greenwood,
- River Country Co-Op in Greenwood,
- Kwik Trip in Loyal,
- Dollar General in Loyal,
- I Mart Store in Neillsville,
- OW Sports & Liquor,
- CreekSide Convenience LLC in Owen,
- Little Club in Spencer,
- And Ace Oil Express in Thorp.
