Air Quality Advisory Posted Through Noon Thursday For All Of Wisconsin
Wednesday, June 28th, 2023 -- 12:00 PM
(Ted Ehlen, WRN) There’s an air quality advisory for all of Wisconsin through Thursday at noon.
The latest advisory from the state’s Department of Natural Resources shows the eastern half of the state is expected to see the densest surface smoke, with the Air Quality Index ranging from the “unhealthy” to the “very unhealthy” category.
The greatest health impacts are expected between noon on Tuesday through noon on Wednesday, where the index may reach into the “hazardous” category. Ongoing smoke from Canadian wildfires has led the Wisconsin DNR to recommend that Wisconsinites reduce time spent outdoors due to the ongoing air quality alerts.
