Man Scheduled to go to Trial for Marathon County for Shooting Incident

A man is scheduled to go to trial in Marathon County for a shooting incident.

According to court records, Desmond Mayo is charged with first-degree intentional homicide. Mayo was arrested back in February after authorities received a report of a shooting on Mcintosh Road in the Town of Wausau on February 4th. The victim was shot several times before he was able to drive himself to the hospital.

The victim identified Mayo as the shooter. He was arrested three days after the shooting on February 7th. He remains in the Marathon County Jail on a $200,000 cash bond. His trial is scheduled to start on August 28th.
