Tomah Area School District Proud to Announce Lemonweir Elementary Principal

The Tomah Area School District is proud to announce that the Lemonweir Elementary Principal position has been offered to Mr. Brian Oberweiser.

Mr. Oberweiser has accepted the offer, and the Board of Education took action at their June 5th Board Academy meeting approving the contract for the 2023-2024 school year. Mr. Oberweiser began his educational career in the La Crosse School District as an adaptive PE teacher in 1994.

He served as an associate principal at Eagle Bluff Elementary for 5 years, then became principal at Sand Lake Elementary School in Holmen for 7 years. Mr. Oberweiser continued his educational career at Emerson Elementary School in La Crosse for 3 years. In addition to being a principal Mr. Oberweiser was the District Supervisor for PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports).

"Mr. Oberweiser's strong knowledge of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) process and previous experiences in this framework ensures continued growth of the powerful practices already in place at Lemonweir Elementary School," Mike Hanson, TASD District Administrator.

They're excited to have Mr. Oberweiser begin his service with our district and meet faculty, the students, and families at Lemonweir Elementary School over the coming months.
