Air Quality Alert for Wisconsin in Place Until Friday

(Alisa Nelson, Wisconsin Public Radio) An air quality alert is in effect for Wisconsin through Friday.

The Department of Natural Resources issued an Orange Advisory for most of Wisconsin. The DNR says increased ozone levels, as well as the continuing wildfires in Canada, are combining to make for low air quality.

The Orange Level means that anyone with heart and lung conditions, the elderly, and the young should limit their time outside and not take part in strenuous activities. That alert remains in place until 11 pm on Friday.
