Jimmy John's to Open in Marshfield Next Week
Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 -- 1:00 PM
(Jamie Rokus, Marshfield News Herald) After months of delays, Jimmy John's is ready to bring freaky-fast service to Marshfield residents.
According to Jamie Rokus with the Marshfield News Herald, the new sandwich shop will open its doors at 11 a.m. June 27 at 603 N. Central Ave., according to franchise owner Cardell Potter, of Wisconsin Rapids, who also owns Jimmy John's locations in Wisconsin Rapids, Plover and Stevens Point.
He purchased his first store in 2018. Potter said the delay in opening was due to a commercial electric control panel box that did not arrive for more than a year. It was originally set to arrive in November for the restaurant's anticipated opening in late January.
"We finally got it the Tuesday after Memorial Day," a spokesperson for the business said. "We didn't know it would take a year to get. We wanted to be in Marshfield a long time ago." The restaurant will feature a drive-thru as well as delivery service. The store will employ about 30 workers.
Restaurant hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. "We are super excited to be in Marshfield and to be part of the community," the spokesperson said. In addition to owning the Jimmy John's franchise, Potter also owns the seven-tenant strip mall the restaurant is located within.
Jimmy John's will be the first business to open in the development, which was formerly the site of Hot 'n Now.
