(Jamie Rokus, Marshfield News Herald) A second retailer has announced its plans to open later this year in the redeveloped Marshfield Mall.
According to Jamie Rokus with the Marshfield News Herald, Ross Dress for Less will open an approximately 18,000-square-foot store in early October, a company spokesperson told the Marshfield News-Herald Tuesday.
According to its website, Ross is the largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain in the U.S. with about 1,700 locations in 40 states, the District of Columbia and Guam. Ross offers in-season, name brand and designer apparel, accessories, footwear and home fashions for the entire family at savings of 20% to 60% off department and specialty store regular prices every day.
The retailer also has plans to open a Ross Dress for Less store this fall in the Dunham’s Sports site development on U.S. 10 East in Stevens Point. Ned Brickman, president of Midland Management, the co-owner of the mall, told the News-Herald early this year the redevelopment project will be complete this fall. It will use the existing mall structure to create space for three national retail stores, which will each have their own exterior entrances.
Five Below will be the first new retailer to open in the redeveloped mall. They plan to open their doors at 10 a.m. July 7 in the former Younkers space at 503 E. Ives St., according to a company spokesperson. Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Hobby Lobby confirmed to the News-Herald in February they would be moving into the Marshfield Mall and said they anticipate opening in early 2024. Anchor stores Ashley Furniture, Kohl's and Harbor Freight will remain open. World Buffet reopened April 1 in its new location across from Ashley Furniture.
