The Board approved the administration's recommendation for the proposal from Rhom Construction for $13,897 to repair the Fieldhouse canopy entrance. District Administrator James Kuchta reported the official closing took place for the property purchased, adjusting the property that goes through the softball field.

The school district now owns the slice of property through left field. The Board also approved the 2023-24 contracts for the maintenance supervisor, child care director, technology coordinator, and district bookkeeper and approved the district administrative assistant 2023-24 contract.

The Board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Principal Amanda Kraus updated the board regarding:

  • Year-end Celebration of Learning;
  • UWSP Full STEAM Ahead Camp;
  • And Summer activities.

Superintendent James Kuchta updated the board on information including:

  • Parking lot project timeline was reviewed, equipment is on site;
  • Electric Bus overview, an adjustment was made for pole placement;
  • And short term borrowing, $450,000 was borrowed for cash-flow purposes.

School Board Member Mark Elmhorst reported on the Granton Foundation’s sweet treat social & fundraiser. He also mentioned that Booster Club sponsored Little League started Tuesday and that there are basketball camps coming up.

During the public comments portion of the meeting, a community member commented that the staff dress code should be more professional, and the employee handbook is vague regarding attire.

A thank you card was also received from the Luchterhand family.
