Taylor Man Killed in Tractor Accident in Jackson County

A Taylor man was killed in a tractor rollover accident in Jackson County.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, on Thursday, June 8th, around 6:50pm, they received a report of a farm tractor rollover in the Town of Springfield. The man’s wife called the Department stating she had not seen or heard from her husband for a while so she went to check on him.

She located him pinned beneath his farm tractor in a field about a half mile south of their residence. When medical personnel arrived, they determined that 76-year-old Edward Buchholz had died.

According to the Department, they determined that Buchholz was attempting to load round bales of hay onto a wagon when some kind of mechanical failure occurred. The tractor rolled, Buchholz was ejected, and pinned underneath.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Taylor First Responders, and Black River Falls EMS responded to the scene. The Jackson County Deputy Medical Examiner assisted with this incident.
