Friday, December 7th, 2007 -- 1:43 PM
Marathon County sheriff's deputy arrested for drunken driving last weekend after a crash in a Wausau suburb resigned Thursday.Sheriff Randy Hoenisch says Deputy Kent Johnson resigned during a meeting Thursday about what kind of discipline he might face.
The 39-year-old Johnson walked away from the scene of the crash and called a co-worker, who called his boss and sent a Kronenwetter police officer to investigate.
Johnson was arrested, booked and released for operating while intoxicated, failing to report a crash and open intoxicant charges.
He'll make an initial appearance in Kronenwetter's municipal court next month.
