Marshfield Band Wins Spot in the Lineup of the Northwoods Rock Rally

A Marshfield band won the opportunity to play at the Northwoods Rock Rally in Glen Flora in August.

On Saturday, the Battle for the Northwoods took place at the historic Silver Dome Ballroom, celebrating its 90th anniversary, just west of Neillsville. The winning band would receive a spot in the Northwoods Rock Rally lineup.

Five Wisconsin/Minnesota bands played a 30 minute set for five “local celebrity” judges. The judges graded the bands on items like visual, punctuality, drums, vocals, back up vocals, and more.

The bands that participated included Dead Amsterdam from La Crosse, Seilies from Madison, Pullstring from Minneapolis, 20 Minute Mission from Madison, and Husky Trumpet from Marshfield.

In the end, Husky Trumpet was selected as the winner of the event. They will now play at the Northwoods Rock Rally happening August 16th-20th in Glen Flora, Wisconsin.
