Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville Nurse Receives DAISY Award

Darcie Reineke was recognized as the first DAISY Award recipient for Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville. Darcie works as a registered nurse with the Medical-Surgical Unit. 

Darcie was nominated by co-worker Registered Nurse Renee Schroeder for demonstrating exceptional patient care. Schroeder said of Reineke, “Darcie is a great nurse who goes above and beyond for her patients. I have watched her go above just your typical nurse cares."

"She always makes patients feel welcome and comfortable. I have experienced on several occasions with her how she makes patients and their family members feel. She is a great person and nurse who truly cares about her patients and their needs. We need more Darcies in the medical field. She is also a great co-worker and is a team player.”

The DAISY Award is a program that recognizes nurses who exhibit exceptional interpersonal skill, demonstrate extraordinary care to patients and families, create a sense of family with patients, actively listen and generate enthusiasm in nursing.
