Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Entering County Forests into Bat Conservation Plan
Monday, May 22nd, 2023 -- 2:01 PM
The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved a few resolutions at their meeting on Thursday of last week.
The Board approved entering Clark County Forest Lands into the Lakes State Forest Management Bat Habitat Conservation Plan. Due to the recent enlistment of the Northern Long-Eared Bat and the expected enlistment of the Tri-Colored Bat to the endangered species list, the County will enter into this plan to try and conserve the bat population.
The Board also approved a request for the state to revise the current real estate transfer fee revenue sharing formula. If the state were to approve it, this would see counties to retain 50% of all real estate transfer fees collected and 50% would go to the state.
Finally, the Board approved sending condolences to the family of former Board Member Gordon Haselow, approved the appointment of Jim Mildebrand to the Clark County Library Committee, and approved Jill Hoff to the Community Services Board.
The Board also heard Veterans Annual Report, Highway Annual Report, and Highway Facility Project.
