98 Days: One Man's Fight for Survival

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, you may have caught COVID-19 or you know someone who has.

You may even know someone, or you yourself, who had to be hospitalized because of the virus. One man, Doug Hines of Iola, Wisconsin experienced all that, and much more, when he spent 98 days in the hospital spending time on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma.

I spoke with Doug and his daughter, Ashley Gunderson of Greenville, and they told me the incredible story of Doug’s, and his family’s, fight for his survival while in the hospital.
