Several Neillsville Businesses Broken Into; ATV Also Stolen

Several Neillsville businesses were broken into and ATVs were also stolen over the past few weeks.
On Sunday, April 21st, a city of Neillsville Police Department patrolman was performing a business security check in the 400 block of West 7th Street when that officer found the building had been broken into.
The patrolman could see the door hinge style door latch had been bent, leaving it unfunctional. Upon further review, pry marks from an unknown object were discovered on the door frame. The patrolman spoke with the property owner, who permitted that officer to enter the building and perform an interior search.
On Tuesday, April 23rd, police received information about a burglary in the 800 block of Hewett Street. Police spoke with the property owner, who reported an undisclosed amount of cash and two cash registers had been taken.
On Wednesday, May 3rd, police responded to a burglary in the 10 block of South Grand Avenue. Police spoke with the property owner, who reported that an undisclosed amount of cash and property had been taken.
On Wednesday, May 3rd, police responded to a theft complaint in the 900 block of East 15th Street. Police learned an ATV had been taken along with other undisclosed property items. A citizen located the ATV in the 600 block of East Street. Police responded and recovered it.
On Thursday, May 4th, police learned the ATV had been stolen again. On patrol, a Clark County Sheriff's Deputy located the missing ATV on Granton Road. On Thursday, May 4th, police responded to a second burglary in the 10 block of South Grand Avenue. Police spoke with the property owner, who reported property and an undisclosed amount of cash had been taken.
On Thursday, May 4th, police identified two juveniles involved in these burglaries and theft of property. Police and members of the Clark County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau, interviewed and arrested a 14-year-old male juvenile and a 15-year-old male juvenile.
Police transported both to a secure juvenile facility. On Saturday, May 6th, police and the Clark County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau members executed two search warrants. One in the 300 block of East 5th, the second in the 10 block of Court Street.
