Marshfield Fire and Rescue Responds to Structure Fire

Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department responded to a structure fire at 512 S. Cedar Ave., in Marshfield, on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 11:36 p.m.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, there was visible smoke and audible crackling within the residence. Residents were confirmed to have exited the home prior to fire crews making entry to extinguish the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The fire caused moderate damage to the basement, first and second floors and the attic space of the home. The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in nature.
