Wisconsin Department of Health Services Sends Out Federal Drug Abuse Grants

(Raymond Neupert, WRN) The Department of Health Services is expanding its services to help treat drug addiction and abuse.

DHS is using an 8 million dollar federal grant to help over 4 thousand people get the help and treatment they need to beat their addictions to pain relievers, heroin, and stimulants like cocaine and meth.

Secretary-designee Kirsten Johnson says that recovery should be possible for everyone. 22 counties and three tribal agencies will share those funds.
