Marshfield Homeless Shelter Expanding to Wisconsin Rapids

A Marshfield homeless shelter is looking to expand to Wisconsin Rapids.

Mary’s Place, which has been in operation for the past 18 years, is a non-profit organization that provides short-term housing for adult men and women. They focus on facilitating a housing program for helping the homeless, no-income, or low-income individuals. They’re moving to Wisconsin Rapids to have more space to serve more individuals.

The Marshfield location can currently house 19 people. Wisconsin Rapids will be able to house up to 30. Mary’s Place is looking for volunteers to help with construction cleanup and they anticipate being open in June.
