Marathon County Public Information Officer Provides More Information on Missing Weston Woman

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) Additional searches are expected along Highway 29 today for 47-year-old Tara Sullivan of Weston who went missing this week.

Marathon County Public Information Officer Sarah Severson says some well-meaning residents may want to join those efforts, but right now they should stay away.

She says the search area's location near a four lane highway brings some complications.

Severson says right now the best way the public can help is by providing any information they can on Sullivan, especially anything they may have noticed over the last two weeks.

She says those interested in being part of a volunteer search effort should follow the county's social media feeds for details.

Law Enforcement has been searching for Sullivan since Tuesday when officers tried to return her cell phone to her home but found signs that she was missing- her vehicle was found abandoned along Highway 29 that same day.
