Marshfield Area United Way Holding Training Session for Volunteer Reception Center Response Team
Friday, April 21st, 2023 -- 8:00 AM
Community emergencies come in a variety of forms, from natural disasters like floods or tornadoes to missing individuals.
When these events occur people often want to help, but aren’t sure how. Volunteer Reception Centers (VRC) offer a central location where people who want to assist can gather and a trained VRC team can screen, organize, and turn this crowd of spontaneous volunteers into a community asset and efficient workforce.
On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, Marshfield Area United Way will be holding a training session for individuals interested in joining the Volunteer Reception Center Response Team for Wood County.
Participants will learn what a volunteer reception center is and why they are used, how to get one up and running, and what their roles are as volunteers within the VRC.
The training session will be from 5:00 pm until 6:30pm and will be held at the Forward Bank Community Room in the lower level of Forward Bank in Marshfield. Dinner will be provided for attendants.
Please register for the training by calling 715-507-5005 or by sending an email to [email protected]. For any questions or more information, please call Marshfield Area United Way or visit www.marshfieldareaunitedway.org.
