Marathon County Sheriff's Department Asking for Help Locating Missing Woman

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) The Marathon County Sheriff's Office is asking for information regarding 47-year-old Tara Sullivan of Weston.

Public information officer Sara Severson says officers found her cell phone in the Town of Ringle, but when they tried to return it to her. "As they arrived at the home, she was not home and the deputies discovered some suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance."

An attempt to locate was quickly put out to area departments, and later in the day more of her property was found. "Off duty officers with the Wausau Police Department were traveling on Highway 29 in Shawano County and saw Tara's unoccupied vehicle on the side of the road."

She says Sullivan's unoccupied vehicle was also found in Shawano County, which has led to a search effort. They're asking anyone who may have had contact with her in the last two weeks to reach out.

"Again, if anyone knows Tara well or has contacted with her in the last two weeks, we ask you to plea contact the Marathon County Sheriff's Office so you can speak to one of our invstigators." If you believe you've seen her or you know where she is, you are asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
