Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department Investigating Accidental Death

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an accidental death.

According to the Department, on Thursday April 6th, around 7:02am, they received a report of a 22-year-old man that had been shot in the parking lot at N15811 Klein Ln in the Town of Trempealeau and needed immediate emergency medical services.

When authorities arrived, they performed life saving measures on the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Department determined that the man’s death was accidental by a self-inflicted gunshot.

There’s no threat to the public. Assisting the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office with this incident was the Galesville Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Trempealeau Fire Responders and Fire Department, Tri-State Ambulance and Gundersen-Air.
