Monday, April 3rd, 2023 -- 1:01 PM
The April 4th Elections are tomorrow.
The main, state-wide race on the ballot is State Supreme Court judge between Democrat Janet Protasiewicz and Republican Dan Kelly. There are also three statewide referendum questions.
The first two, deal with a proposed constitutional amendment, would change how judges decide cash bail for people charged with violent crimes. If passed by voters, it would give judges more criteria to consider when imposing bail on a detained person.
The second, an advisory referendum, would ask the public's opinion on whether to require "childless, able-bodied adults" to search for employment while receiving public benefits.
For Clark County, they’ll also be voting for District 4 Appeals Court Judge. Chris Taylor is the only candidate for that seat. Clark County will also vote for judge for Clark County Circuit Court Branch 2 between Jake Brunette and William Bratcher.
