NUDE DANCING DISCUSSED, AGAIN
Monday, October 29th, 2007 -- 8:35 AM
The Clark County Law Enforcement committee discussed nude entertainment again on Friday.Supervisor Bill Elmhorst has brought forth a draft ordinance that he says wouldn't shut down existing "strip clubs," but would put in place some enforceable limitations on "degree of dress," contact with performers and private performances.
The committee had directed Corporation Counsell Frank Vasquez to develop a draft ordinance, but he wasn't available for Friday's meeting.
The committee voted unanimously to send Elmhorst's draft to Vasquez as a template, with the possible addition of licensing requirements for the dancers.
Clark County has two strip clubs.
The committee will review the draft ordinances at a November 8th meeting.
