Former Wausau Priest Sentenced for Possession of Child Pornography

A former Wausau priest was sentenced for child porn charges on Monday.

According to court records, 60-year-old Timothy Svea was charged with new possession of child porn charges after graphic images of children were found on his computer by a repair technician in December of last year. He was sentenced to three years in prison.

Back in 2002, Svea served 18-months in prison after being convicted of molesting an underage boy. Svea had served in various Catholic groups in Wausau and Cashton.
