Neillsville School Board Approves Sports Co-ops and More

The Neillsville School Board approved some sports co-ops.

The Board approved the JV baseball co-op with Granton schools as presented, approved the JV softball co-op with Granton schools as presented, and approved the WIAA Varsity baseball co-op with Granton schools as presented. The Board also approved the Big Ideas math textbook adoption as presented. Building and Grounds Director Mark Spencer also presented a building projects update.

The Board also approved the Early College Credit and Start College Now program applications as presented, approved the transportation contract with Granton Area School District as presented, approved the student insurance renewal as presented, and approved the monetary donation from Julie Simek for negative lunch account balances as presented.

In employment matters, the Board approved the hiring of Ryan Guenther as a teaching assistant as presented and approved the hiring of Amy Arndt as the technology coordinator as presented. The Board also approved the Memorandum of Understanding for benefit option for Ryan Guenther as presented.

The Board approved the retirement of Matthew Diestler from his technology coordinator position as presented. The Board approved the resignation of Megan Hanson from her middle school ELA teaching position as presented and the resignation of Taylor Siebel from her middle school volleyball coaching position as presented. The Board also approved the request for a leave of absence from Scott Swita as presented.

The Board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Marcy Kunze reported on:
