Office of Emergency Communications Announces Grants for for Public Safety Answering Points

The Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) is pleased to announce the award of 39 grant projects totaling $5,721,074.98 in state funding to local public safety answering points (PSAPs) across Wisconsin.
Funding will be used for various projects related to PSAP equipment upgrades and advanced training necessary for Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) implementation. Wood County will receive $133,884.90 for the total amount and $107,107.92 for the state amount.
The Eau Claire Police Department will receive $89,815.91 for the total amount and $71,852.73 for the state amount. The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department will receive $320,391 for the total amount and $256,312.80.
