Tomah Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire

The Tomah Fire Department responded to a structure fire.

Tomah Fire was dispatched around 4:36pm to 519 Glendale Ave. for the report of a structure Fire. Upon arrival the three adult occupants had evacuated the single family home. Fire crews made entry and quickly knocked down the fire. 27 fire fighters were on scene for just over an hour. There were no injuries to report. The home suffered fire, smoke and water damage.

The investigation found that the cause of the fire was due to a fire place malfunction. Assisting at the scene was the Tomah Police Department, the Tomah Area Ambulance Service, Alliant Energy, WE Energies and the Monroe County 911 Communication Center.
