Neillsville's finance committee is proposing a $3-million budget for 2008.The proposed budget still needs a public hearing and approval by the City Council, but under the document, total expenditures would increase about 1.4% from the current year's budget.
The amount of the budget coming from property taxes would increase about 1.8% from $935,000 this year to just over $952,341 for 2008.
The budget hearing will be held November 13 at 7:30 at the City Hall.
