Central Wisconsin Man Accused of Attempted Homicide is Being Held on a $200,000 Bond

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Central Wisconsin man accused of attempted homicide is being held on a 200 thousand dollar bond.

Desmond Mayo is said to have shot another man multiple times in early February. That man was able to get himself to a hospital, and named Mayo as a suspect after picking his photo out of a lineup.

The 29-year-old then fled to Illinois, and it wasn't until March 1st that officers were able to arrest him. Conditions of his bond include no contact with the victim and absolute sobriety, Mayo returns to court next week to learn if the case will go to trial.
