More Charges Against Man Found Guilty of Killing his Mother

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) We learned about new charges against a man found guilty of killing his mother on Tuesday.

Derek Goplin is accused of exposing himself to a minor and neglecting a child in Waukesha County- online court records show those charges were filed about a year ago, and court proceedings began while he was in custody in Langlade County.

But the judge sealed the charges to keep potential jurors from finding them before the homicide trial started. They were unsealed earlier this month, and a hearing in the case will be held in mid-March.

Gopln has pled not guilty to the charges, he's due to be sentenced on the homicide count on April 6th, a guaranteed life sentence with only the possibility of parole to be discussed.
