Marshfield Police Department Releases Reports From this Past Weekend

The Marshfield Police Department released some reports from incidents in Marshfield this past weekend.
In one case, during a traffic stop of a vehicle, occupied by a 25 year old Marshfield female and a 27 year old Marshfield male, officers detected the odor of unburned marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
A search of both parties and the vehicle was performed and a green plantlike substance suspected to be marijuana was found along with several items of drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Both subjects were taken to the Marshfield Police Department where they were booked and released. Charges are being requested.
In another case, following a traffic stop, a 22-year-old Marshfield female was found to be in possession of a concealed weapon. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney's Office.
In another case, as a result of a traffic stop, contact was made with a 44-year-old Marshfield male who had a substantial amount of white residue located under his nostril. The white residue field tested positive for the presence of Methamphetamine. A request for charges for possession of methamphetamine and bail jumping is being forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney's Office.
In another case, officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on South Central Avenue in the City of Marshfield. A traffic stop was attempted and the vehicle continued traveling to an address in the City of Marshfield.
A high risk traffic stop was conducted and a 21 year old Marshfield male was arrested for first offense OWI and Resisting/Failing to Stop/Fleeing.
