Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007 -- 2:12 PM
The Neillsville Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place at the Neillsville High School last night.Investigators are confident the incident, which involved bee-bee gun-style weapons, was not malicious and did not result in serious injury.
Police Chief Brad Lindner says two 16-year-old boys will likely face charges after the incident, which happened just before 6 p.m.Tuesday evening.
The two were shooting "Air Soft Pellets," a plastic bee-bee used in military games.
One boy had a bee-bee pistol, the other had a bee-bee rifle and were shooting from a vehicle traveling through a school parking lot.
Two boys returning to the school after football practice were shot and suffered small lacerations. Their injuries were minor, and neither required medical attention.
Lindner says the incident remains under investigation.
