Marshfield Common Council Hears Presentation Regarding the Sale of Products Containing Delta 8 THC

-The Marshfield Common Council heard a presentation regarding the sale of products containing Delta 8 & 10 THC.

It was presented by Jacob Wagner with the Wood County Health Department. He explained what Delta 8 THC is and how it’s legal.

Wegner said that a lot of these products containing Delta 8 THC are marketed towards children, but it can have adverse effects on a developing mind. The CDC actually released a report regarding the harms of Delta 8 back in 2021.

Wisconsin has no rules regulating Delta 8 THC and more teens are experimenting with THC. Wood County has passed an ordinance restricting the sale of Delta 8 THC.

The Marshfield Common Council began the discussion on the City of Marshfield approving an ordinance also restricting the sale of Delta 8 THC.
