FORMER CLARK CO. D-A PLEADS TO DRUG CHARGES
Friday, September 28th, 2007 -- 9:18 AM
A Former Clark County District Attorney will be sentenced in December after pleading no contest to a felony drug charge Thursday.55-year-old Gene Radcliffe of Neillsville had two misdemeanor charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia dismissed and was released on a signature bond as part of the plea.
The charges stem from a February raid of the Oak Street home he shared with his wife, Kelly.
The criminal complaint alleges authorities found Kelly Radcliffe dismantling a growing operation in the home when the warrant was executed. That search turned up nearly 75 items authorities believe are related to the case.
Radcliffe was elected DA in Clark County in 1977 and unsuccessfully ran for the 91st Assembly District in 1979.
