Transportation Company for Wausau School District Makes Changes to Improve Reliability

The company that provides transportation for the Wausau School District said it has made many changes to improve its reliability.

The company, First Student, has heard frustrations from parents over canceled and delayed routes. They said they’ve raised their hourly wage to $20 an hour. They’re also bringing in CDL drivers from other First Student locations to help minimize disruptions.

They also stated new management teams are now at the local and regional levels. They’re also working to improve the efficiency of their bus routes.
