Low Level Threat Discovered at Neillsville School District

A low level threat was discovered at the Neillsville School District.

According to a message from the District, a low level threat was discovered for Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Neillsville High School. Both law enforcement and school officials have determined the threat to be a low level, and the investigation into the threat is ongoing.

They are planning to hold school tomorrow as scheduled with an increased presence of law enforcement at the school. If parents wish to excuse their child(ren) from school tomorrow, they may do so without penalty by contacting the school office.

High school staff will provide work that can be done remotely for those students that are not in attendance. It is unfortunate that the actions of others can have such an impact on everybody. These types of actions are disruptive, disturbing, and illegal and they will not be tolerated.

Any person that is found to have made any threat against the School District of Neillsville, or those that occupy its buildings, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible under the law.
