Wausau Opens up New Water Works

(Raymond Neupert) Wausau's brand new water facility is open.

WOAW in Wausau reports that the new water plant has been in the works for years, and finally finished construction this week. The city says water coming from the new water works is showing excellent water quality, but that it could take several weeks for all of the water currently in the city's pipes to be flushed out.

Wausau is having to deal with PFAS contamination, much like many other communities in the state.
