(Bob Hague, WRN) The Wisconsin Department of Health Services confirms the state’s first pediatric influenza-associated death of the season.
And with vaccination rates in the state disappointingly low, DHS has been urging all eligible Wisconsinites, especially children, to get vaccinated against the flu as soon as possible.
Dr. Jasmine is with DHS, “DHS recognizes that there's barriers to people getting their flu shots, and for some it's access. You can find where a flu shot is available near you by going to vaccines.gov or by calling 211.”
DHS reported there are 30 pediatric influenza-associated deaths nationwide.
