Dorow Announces Wisconsin State Supreme Court Candidacy
Thursday, December 1st, 2022 -- 9:01 AM
(Bob Hague, WRN) It’s official, Waukesha County Judge Jennifer Dorow is running for Wisconsin Supreme Court.
She made the announcement Wednesday.
“I am a judicial conservative who believes it is the job of a judge to apply the law as it is written to the facts of a case and not try and then the Constitution and statutes to what I would like them to say.”
Dorow gained international attention presiding over the Darrell Brooks trial.
“After my trial responsibilities settled down, I sat down with my family and close friends. After many discussions and a lot of prayer, I reached the conclusion that now is the right time for me and my family to pursue what I hope will be the next chapter of my judicial career.”
Dorow becomes the fourth candidate to fill the seat of retiring conservative Justice Patience Rogensack. A February primary will narrow the field to two.
