Grassland Dairy Products Donates to UW-River Falls College of Agriculture's Dairy Plant Renovation Project

The UW-River Falls College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences received a donation from a local family and business.

They were honored with a remarkable gift from the Wuethrich family and Grassland Dairy Products. They increased their original support for the UWRF Dairy Plant renovation project, bringing their total contribution to $1 million.

The Dairy Plant will now be known as the Wuethrich Family/Grassland Dairy Center of Excellence.  Trevor Wuethrich, President of Grassland Dairy equated “excellence” with the people.

He was most pleased to be honoring their family with the new name including his brother Tayt and father Dallas, along with their family of Grassland employees which include a number of UWRF alumni, some of whom were on hand for the announcement.

John Umhoefer, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association described Grassland as the “quarterback” in the team effort of the industry to reinvest in the UWRF facility for the future of the industry.

Michelle Farner, Dairy Plant Manager was noticeably touched that the Wuethrich’s honored UWRF with their legacy.  We can’t thank them enough. We’re so excited to continue providing educated, innovative and modernized students the Wuethrich's want for Grassland and the entire industry.
