Augusta Senior Receives Good Citizen Award

Congratulations to Augusta senior Elizabeth Boone on receiving the Good Citizen Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution.

DAR is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America's future through better education.

Elizabeth was chosen to receive this award because she demonstrated the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in everything that she does. Elizabeth’s teachers describe her as being: compassionate, conscientious and courteous, positive and hard working.

They also said she demonstrates strong character, is extremely involved in her community and church and is one of the kindest students in the high school. Elizabeth will have the opportunity to compete for further scholarships through DAR.
