An Owen man has been charged for his connection to a drug overdose death in Clark County.
According to court records, authorities responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch at W6210 Sladich Road in Greenwood. When authorities arrived, the driver of the vehicle was out walking around, but the passenger was unconscious and believed to be dead.
A deputy told EMTs about the passengers' drug use. A white substance was found on a $100 bill that had fallen out of the victim’s pocket. EMTs tried to use Narcan on the victim, but there was no reaction and he was later pronounced dead.
An informant told authorities that 31-year-old Jacob Faude had provided the drugs to the victim and the victim used heroin in the past. Faude is facing charges of 1st-degree reckless homicide and delivery of schedule I or II narcotics.
Faude is currently in the Clark County Jail. He’s scheduled to appear in court on November 22nd.
