A former Osseo-Fairchild teacher accused of inappropriately touching a student appeared in Trempealeau County Court.
According to court records, a 15-year-old emailed the principal stating that inappropriate touching occurred in Nicholas Bergeron’s classroom between September of 2021 and January of this year at the Osseo-Fairchild High School.
Several other students reported that Bergeron would pay extra attention to female students and ask for their phone numbers. Bergeron was questioned and he admitted to touching a girl’s leg and accidentally touching a girl’s butt.
Bergeron is facing a charge of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child. During his preliminary hearing, probable cause was found, so his court proceeding will continue. He entered a not guilty plea to the charge against him. He’s scheduled to be back in court in January.
