Thursday, August 3rd, 2006 -- 9:37 AM
A La Crosse woman is going to prison for giving crack cocaine to her 14-year-old daughter.50-year-old Jeri Thienes told La Crosse County Circuit Judge Dale Pasell that she was willing to go to prison if it would help her daughter avoid the same fate later in life.
Thienes pleaded guilty in early June to felony delivery of cocaine to a minor as a repeat drug offender. Three drug-related charges and a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a child were dismissed but considered at sentencing.
She was sentenced to three years in prison and four years of extended supervision.
Thienes admitted to supplying her daughter with crack cocaine three times, but the daughter told police her mom gave her crack at least 10 times.
