Coronavirus Numbers for December 9th

-For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,368 positive cases.  Of those, 168 are currently active and 172 needed to be hospitalized.  Clark County has had 44 people die from the virus.  Wood has seen a total of 4,720 positive cases.  Wood has had 30 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 418,446 positive cases (an increase of 4,114 over the previous day) and 3,806 deaths, an increase of 68 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 18,500, or 4%, have been hospitalized.  For our other neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 5,249 positive, Eau Claire has seen 8,207 positive, Jackson has seen 1,977 positive, Marathon has seen 10,434 positive and Taylor has seen 1,382 positive.

Marathon has had 139 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 63 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 57 people die from the virus; Taylor has had 11 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had 6 people die from the virus.
