Curtiss Man Sentenced for Sexual Assault of a Child

A Curtiss man facing charges of sexual assault of a child was sentenced in Clark County Court.

According to court records, Ty Umback of Curtiss is accused of sexually assaulting young girls. One of the girls stated that Umback told her not to tell anyone or she would be in trouble.

During a plea hearing back in May, he was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, two counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child and one count of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child. He was sentenced to 18 years in state prison and 18 years of extended supervision.
