(Raymond Neupert, WRN) Wisconsin is getting another 40 million dollars for its broadband expansion program. (Raymond Neupert)
That funding is coming from one of the COVID-19 stimulus packages. That funding is heading to the state's public service commission, which will be able to hand it out in grants to utilities and telecom companies planning on expanding their infrastructure.
Officials estimate that around 650-thousand Wisconsinites lack high-speed internet.
